![]() Disclaimer: Use info here at your own risk. After a few months on a Yamaha TZR, I finally got my license for this cool 400cc Honda! Getting a 2A license in Singapore is not easy and well the limit at 400cc is kinda low but good enough. 4-stroke, 6 speed bike with amazing pickup, its a decently big engine and a air/liquid cooled one, need to take good care of the cooling system! Thanks for the immense interest in this page - this one of the most popular pages on my site :) So let me try and write more to convince you to buy a CBR! My bike gave me trouble free performance and though I no longer own it I'm sure it would be running great. I sold it only 'cos I was leaving Singapore and importing it into the US meant the kind of money I didnt have! Its very important to maintain the CBR! You can be easy on other bikes but this one takes a bit of effort. Oil and Spark-plug change are the most common. Additionally I also got the chain and both sprockets changed which is MOST important if you want to speed - and I know that why you want the bike! The cooling system is equally important 'cos once I busted the radiator fan switch and well had a bit of trouble get the correct spare. The bike is pretty heavy and has excellent braking (make sure your tyres are good!) and even on the rainy days it offers excellent control. My CBR400 had a max speed of 190kmph (I believe there are 200kmph versions in other countries) and generally if I am on the expressways 120kmph is usual with absolute ease and total control. My personal max is 150kmph :) Happy speeding and also please follow the traffic police advisory! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
